November 01, 2023The American Association of Colleges of Nursing presents a webinar:
Empowering New Nurses with Stronger Skills in Mindfulness, Self-Care, Well-Being, and Leadership
Thursday, Nov. 9
2 - 3 p.m. ET
The webinar is for all faculty, including those working to implement Essentials Domain 10 (Personal, Professional, and Leadership Development).
With funding from Johnson & Johnson, AACN launched a national initiative titled A Competency-Based Approach to Leadership Development and Resilience for Student Nurses, focused on building leadership capacity in new nurses with a special emphasis on developing essential skills in mindfulness, self-care, and well-being.
Ten pilot schools were selected to implement and evaluate diverse strategies to integrate these concepts and related competencies across the entry-level curriculum. Speakers from two pilot schools – Rutgers University-Camden and Nevada State University – will highlight their experience with implementing the new learning and assessment strategies across the curricula.
