The 2nd Annual SSW Multicultural Community Potluck will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 12:15 to 1:45 PM in room 2E29 at SSW, located at 525 W. Redwood. The event is hosted by the DEI Advisory Council and aims to create a casual, welcoming environment for the SSW community to connect and celebrate cultural diversity.

Participation Details:

  • Participants are invited to bring a dish representing their culture or heritage
  • No pressure to bring elaborate or expensive food
  • All community members are welcome to attend

Collaboration with PIVOT:

In the spirit of community collaboration, there will be a donation collection box for PIVOT at the potluck for those interested in contributing. PIVOT is a nine-week workforce development and comprehensive case management program, located in Baltimore City, supporting women impacted by the carceral system in Maryland. PIVOT’s comprehensive program focuses on addressing the whole women, understanding challenges unique to women, supporting mental health and substance use recovery, delivering empowerment-oriented workforce development, and matching high needs with high support.  

Items most in need are listed below:

Hygiene kit items (can be packed into a Ziplock bag or any other kind of sealed bag so they don't fall out)!

  • Pads/liners and/or tampons

  • Clothing & Food Gift Cards
