Ally Amerson: Why I Chose Giving Through Payroll Deduction
September 09, 2024“I truly believe that scholarships transform the lives and experiences of our students. I also know that scholarship giving plays a vital role in the law school's critical mission of increasing access to an outstanding legal education, and to the legal profession. So, I set up a payroll deduction and I was easily able to direct it to support the law school's scholarship program.
"I love supporting such a critical program, and I love that it was so simple to set up! Most of all, I love knowing that every two weeks, without needing to remember to do anything or add another task to my long to-do list, I'm giving what I can and investing in the future, and in our incredible students."
— Ally Amerson, associate director of development, University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law
