New Profit, a venture philanthropy organization that supports social entrepreneurs who are advancing access and opportunity in America, is hosting The Well this November in Baltimore. The Well, is a multiday event for social entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, philanthropists, and social impact leaders to reimagine our shared future.
To expand our intergenerational coalition, New Profit is inviting young leaders to participate in The Well as “Emerging Leaders.” This cohort will include young people between the ages of 21-25 with demonstrated leadership potential in the areas of advocacy, organizing, intergenerational movement-building, and storytelling — and with a concentrated interest in New Profit’s primary issue areas: Education, Economic Mobility, and/or Democracy.
Together, we will explore shared challenges and opportunities, and co-design pathways and solutions to expand access and opportunity in America. We will do so in a way that supports our individual and collective well-being.
Emerging Leaders from across the country are invited to apply. In line with our belief in the power of proximity, we especially encourage young people based in Baltimore to consider applying.

Eligibility Criteria for Emerging Leaders
Before applying, please consider the following eligibility criteria:
- You are able to attend all three days of The Well in Baltimore (Nov. 11-13, 2024)
- You are between the ages of 21 and 25 during the event
- You are able to participate in two prep webinars prior to The Well. The purpose of these webinars is to assist with orientation, prepare participants for what to expect during The Well, and build relationships with other Emerging Leaders and the New Profit team who will serve as points of contact during the event.
Transportation and lodging will be covered by New Profit, and food will be provided.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with decisions made by the end of September.
