The Workplace Mediation Service (WMS) is recruiting volunteers to expand our roster of workplace mediators. We will train our second cohort of mediators late this spring and invite UMB faculty and staff to apply to join this team of volunteers. Prior mediation experience is not necessary. If you volunteer with us, you’ll be part of our great group of apprentice mediators and mediators.

Applications are due March 1 at noon.

WMS supports UMB employees in having a different type of conversation to address conflicts and plan for a better future. The foundation of our mediation service is effective communication and facilitation skills. Our volunteers apply their skills in workplace mediations and in their interactions at work.

Join us in helping folks plan for a better future. Visit our recruitment page and attend any of our information sessions to learn more about WMS and what it means to volunteer with us.
