smiling child in wheelchair with arms spread wide and woman pushing the chair

We are interested in learning from teen siblings and parents of children with serious illness and medical complexity about their needs, preferences, and challenges related to family communication. Siblings ages 12 to 17 and a parent are eligible if they live together and with the child with a serious illness at least part time and can speak English or Spanish. Being part of the study includes completing a few surveys (that take about 10 minutes for siblings and 20 minutes for parents). If interested, siblings and parents can complete a separate interview with the nurses running the study.
