Do You Have Knee Pain? Volunteers Needed for Research Study
June 24, 2024This study will take place at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science.
You may be eligible if you:
- Have pain near your kneecap for at least three months
- Pain is at least 3/10 during aggravating movements
- Are between ages 21 and 65
The study includes on-site screening/questionnaires, in total lasting less than 2.5 hours:
- Completion of questionnaires
- Sensation testing
- Collecting EEG data (wear an EEG cap) while you perform a single leg squat
This study provides compensation, including parking. You will rate pressure probes applied to the skin on your knees and forearm. You will perform a single leg squat designed to reproduce your knee symptoms and will be instructed to imagine performing the squat.
