knee pain

This study will take place at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Have pain near your kneecap for at least three months
  • Pain is at least 3/10 during aggravating movements
  • Are between ages 21 and 65

The study includes on-site screening/questionnaires, in total lasting less than 2.5 hours:

  • Completion of questionnaires
  • Sensation testing
  • Collecting EEG data (wear an EEG cap) while you perform a single leg squat

This study provides compensation, including parking. You will rate pressure probes applied to the skin on your knees and forearm. You will perform a single leg squat designed to reproduce your knee symptoms and will be instructed to imagine performing the squat.
