Oct. 1: E. Albert Reece Presents on the State of the U.S. Biomedical Research Enterprise
September 27, 2024On Oct. 1, the National Academy of Medicine will publish a new report titled "The State of the U.S. Biomedical and Health Research Enterprise: Strategies for Achieving a Healthier America." The authoring committee, chaired by former dean of the University of Maryland School of Medicine E. Albert Reece, MD, PhD, MBA, lays out strategies to ensure that the U.S. biomedical research enterprise can continue to lead globally and address our population’s health needs in the face of complex challenges.
All are welcome to register to attend the publication webinar for this important report on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. The two-hour webinar will include a presentation of the report’s findings and recommended actions by Reece and three others on the authoring committee, as well as a panel discussion among biomedical research leaders who were not involved in the report.
