The lawn area in front of the Health Sciences Research Facility III (HSRF III) building will be fenced off and inaccessible for about two years because of a construction project.

The project will correct facade deficiencies at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD) and be completed in two phases, with the combined phases expected to take until fall 2026 to complete.

During this time, the lawn outside of UMSOD/HSRF III will be fenced off and used as a staging area to store project equipment and materials. A dumpster to collect materials is located in the vehicle turnaround area in front of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, requiring project debris to be transported from UMSOD to the dumpster with a telescopic forklift.
