Come join us to play a board game!

Hi! Are you interested in working with immigrants in your career? Would you like to learn more about the challenges that our immigrant peers may face in integration? Consider coming to this interactive training and discussion to learn more about this topic! It is a board game that will be used to train social workers and school teachers about immigrant experiences in K-12 education.

Some of the main goals of the game are to build empathy, share knowledge, and decrease stereotypes of immigrants. Did you know that 1 in 4 kids under the age of 18 in the US are part of an immigrant family?! If you will be working with kids in the nearby future, please consider attending!! This game is currently still in development so if you are interested in a "play test" of the game we would love to hear from you! This event will be hosted on April 5 from 12:15 pm to 2 pm at UMB School of Social Work in Room 2E29 and we'd love folks interested to be present!

Please RSVP with the link below. Hope to see you there!!
