The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) is excited to launch UMB Scholar Circles, an initiative to support interdisciplinary research and collaboration across UMB. Each Scholar Circle is a small group, led by a faculty or staff member, bringing together participants with shared interests to explore, research, and advance educational practices. Circles focus on topics such as curriculum development, educational technology, assessment, or AI in teaching, aiming for impactful outcomes like publications, conference presentations, and other scholarly contributions.

Each circle leader coordinates group activities and sets collaborative goals. Participants can expect regular meetings to brainstorm, design, and implement research projects, with ongoing support from the FCTL and co-coordinators, including consultations, resources, and workshops.

Interested in joining or leading a circle? Complete our Interest Survey to help us match you with a group aligned with your research interests and goals.
