May 29: CMAS Drop-In Session Focuses on Audit Prep; Self-Paced Internal Controls Training Published
May 08, 2024Change Management and Advisory Services (CMAS) hosts periodic drop-in sessions to discuss a variety of compliance and/or change management issues.
Join CMAS at 11 a.m. May 29 for a one-hour session on audit-related topics. The emphasis will be on the return of the Office of Legislative Audits (OLA), which recently announced an early start to its triennial audit cycle and is beginning work now.
A presentation will center around prior audit findings and interacting with auditors in general. University System of Maryland internal audits will be discussed in addition to OLA. Questions on any compliance-related topics are welcome.
Attendance is open to anyone who may interact with auditors but is especially encouraged for payroll reps, PCardholders, and individuals who handle cash receipts or study participant payments.

CMAS would also like to announce that a brief, self-paced, Internal Controls eLearning module has been published in Percipio. This training introduces general Internal Controls concepts and is designed for anyone who wishes to learn more about Internal Controls. Completion of this training will help users understand audit expectations.
