PIEC (Parent, Infant, and Early Childhood) Team members from the School of Social Work's Institute for Innovation and Implementation attended the annual National Training Institutes for the Pyramid Model in Tampa Florida from April 14-19.

The Pyramid Model for Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children is an evidence-informed framework that promotes and supports the healthy, social emotional development of all children.  Ashley Fehringer, Pyramid Model Program Manager, and Erin Leech, Training Specialist, represented the team and the state of Maryland at PLAN day by presenting a poster on work with the Pyramid Model Implementation Site Pilot Project. Additionally, Ashley and Erin attended informative sessions on policy, diversity, equity and inclusion, and implementing new data systems to support the Pyramid Model work in the state. The conference was also a great opportunity to meet up with others doing the work in Maryland.
