Participants Needed for Research Study Involving Nurses' Knowledge, Attitudes, and Training Needs Involving Addiction and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies
April 04, 2024We are seeking participants for a research study, "Addiction and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies: Knowledge, Attitudes and Training Needs of the Social Work and Nursing Workforces."
The study is being conducted by principal investigator Megan Meyer, PhD, in collaboration with co-investigators Andrew Coop, PhD; Lynn Marie Bullock, DNP; Seante Hatcher, MSW; and Fernando Wagner, PhD, at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. This research project has been reviewed by the UMB IRB.
The purpose of this research is to gather information about nurses' concerns, opinions, knowledge, and training needs related to psychedelics (also known as hallucinogens), as these substances continue to be researched for the treatment of mental health conditions and states seek to decriminalize their use.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please note that you will not receive compensation for your time. However, we are committed to sharing the results of the survey through our project webpage after the analyses are complete, expectedly in July 2024.
You must be at least 18 to participate.
