The School of Pharmacy’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is hosting a restorative approaches facilitator workshop Dec. 5 and 6. This two-day training program hosted by Nancy Schertzing, MS, director of the Restorative Approaches in Education Program for the Center for Dispute Resolution at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, will teach the foundational principles of restorative practices that uses a positive approach to conflict resolution and community building.

This workshop will equip faculty, staff, and students with the necessary tools to engage in safe and equitable discussions that enhance communication, engagement, well-being, and a sense of belonging. All participants who complete both sessions will receive a digital badge. CE credit is available for pharmacists and technicians. Both sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the School of Social Work, Room 2E14.
