Neurobiologist and Molecular biologist, Richard James Youle, PhD

Be sure to save the date, April 1, to attend a retreat hosted by the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Technology (BioMET) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM). Our speaker will be neurobiologist and molecular biologist Richard James Youle, PhD.

Youle is a distinguished investigator and head of the Biochemistry Section at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. His discussion topic is titled "Mitophagy Across Scales, from Man and Parkinson’s Disease to Individual Mitochondrial Protein Import Channels."

The event will take place at the SMC Campus Center in Room 349. More details about the time will be available soon.
