Rutgers University School of Nursing is looking for advanced nursing practice (ANP) students to participate in an online survey on "Debriefing in ANP Simulation-Based Education: A Survey."

Participation in this survey will help researchers identify ways to improve ANP student-learning outcomes through simulation debriefing nationwide.

Research Project Title: Debriefing Engagement, Debriefing Quality, and Student Learning Outcomes in Graduate Nursing Education

Principal Investigator: Rula Btoush, PhD, RN, associate professor, Rutgers School of Nursing

Study Co-Investigator: Monina Franco-Tantuico, MSN, RN, BSMT, CNE, PhD candidate

Purpose of the Project: This study examines the associations among debriefer engagement, student engagement, debriefing quality, and student learning outcomes (cognitive, affective, and behavior learning) in ANP simulation-based education.

Who is eligible to participate?

  • ANP students who are currently enrolled in an ANP program (MSN, Post-MSN certificate, or DNP program) at a college or university in the United States
  • The ANP student must have experienced debriefing after a simulation-based learning activity in their current or prior semester.

Procedures: You are asked to complete a 10- to 15-minute, anonymous, online survey. The survey questions are about your debriefing experience related to student engagement, debriefer engagement, debriefing quality, and student learning outcomes. Your responses will be kept confidential. At the end of the survey, you have the option of receiving a $20 gift card.
