The University of Maryland School of Nursing’s Staff Council is hosting a donation drive for Paul's Place that allows individuals and groups to donate nonperishables and new, unused, or used items to those who need them. For example, clothing, hand sanitizer, and canned food are all popular donation items that could keep people warm, safe, and fed.

Paul’s Place switches to spring/summer in April and fall/winter in October. Clothing should be gently used and freshly laundered. In addition to clothing, we need blankets and sleeping bags, backpacks, toiletries, and diapers.

Please contact Jordan Lyles, program specialist, at jlyles@umaryland.edu or 410-706-1763. If you wish to drop off items, please do so in the donation box located outside of Room 632 in the School of Nursing.

Want to have items sent directly to Paul’s Place? Visit their wish lists on Amazon. Collecting items as part of a group? Complete a gift card with the group’s name so we know who is supporting the work.

Gifts and donations help us further our work by bringing hard-to-find resources to the guests of Paul’s Place. Contributions large and small continue to make a difference. Here are a few items that the organization is currently accepting: nonperishable food items; in-season clothing (all sizes); shoes for men, women, and children; purses; wallets; backpacks; blankets; sleeping bags; reading glasses; and underwear and bras for women (new, all sizes).

Paul's Place is not accepting breakable items, electronics, books, appliances, pillows, suits, baby equipment, stuffed animals and toys, and prepared meals.
