The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the University community while on campus and at UMB controlled off-campus sites to focus on their studies, research, duties, and responsibilities. This policy establishes a permanent multidisciplinary behavioral evaluation and assessment (BETA) team. The BETA Team will review reports of known or suspected threatening, aggressive, or violent behavior and recommend appropriate action.
