If so, the UMB SPARK! Supervisor Academy is looking for you!
Launching in October 2024, the UMB SPARK! Supervisor Academy will provide training for front-line supervisors, mid-level supervisors, and faculty who supervise staff. The program will include instructor-led in-person and virtual training sessions, e-learning courses, and an ongoing opportunity to network with UMB supervisors and University leaders.

Who can facilitate?
Current UMB supervisors who are in good standing with the University and have been in a role supervising staff for at least a year are encouraged to apply.
What will facilitation entail?
- Attend a half-day training session to advance your facilitation skills.
- Commit to facilitating a session (one day) about one of the following topics:
- Leading Yourself
- Building Your Team
- Leading Your Team
- Developing Your Team
- Communicating with Your Team
- Leading with Organizational Awareness
