UMSSW’s Kusmaul Receives Prestigious Gerontological Society of America Award for Gerontology Research
July 08, 2024University of Maryland School of Social Work Associate Professor Nancy Kusmaul, PhD, MSW, will be awarded the prestigious Elaine M. Brody Thought Leader Award from the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), acknowledging Kusmaul's outstanding contributions to social research, policy, and practice in gerontology.
The award will be presented at GSA's 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting, scheduled for Nov. 13-16 in Seattle, Wash. This honor is part of GSA's awards program, which celebrates exceptional research, distinguished leadership in teaching and service, and innovative ideas in gerontology.
This recognition from GSA, the country's largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging, underscores the importance and influence of Kusmaul's work in advancing gerontological research and practice.
