Wheel lock

UMB Police and Public Safety is partnering with Hyundai Motor America to give away free steering wheel locks!

Across the country, Kia and Hyundai vehicle thefts have risen by more than 1,000 percent since 2020. While crime at UMB remains low, wheel locks are a simple tool that can help prevent vehicle theft. Anyone is eligible to receive a free steering wheel lock. Supplies are limited. First come, first served.

Monday, Jan. 29, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Community Engagement Center small computer lab.

Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the SMC Campus Center lobby.

Can't attend a wheel lock give-away? Email Quartermaster Ariel Turner at aturner@police.umaryland.edu to request a wheel lock while supplies last.
