Annual Title IX Training
August 13, 2025The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of our community. As part of this commitment, annual prevention training will launch on Aug. 15, 2025.
Students
Title IX training is provided through an interactive online program designed to increase awareness and provide education on preventing sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, and stalking. All students must complete their designated training by Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025. A hold will be placed on the accounts of any students who do not complete the module prior to the training deadline.
Faculty and Staff
Title IX training is an interactive online program designed to increase awareness, provide information on rights and responsibilities under Title IX, common definitions and understanding of what constitutes misconduct, and information on how to report and respond when misconduct is experienced or observed.
Discrimination Awareness training provides awareness and understanding of what are protected classes, what constitutes discrimination, and how to promote a culture that reflects respect for all.
Maryland Sexual Harassment training is required of all Maryland state employees, providing critical information for members of the UMB community to identify and prevent sexual harassment to build a more respectful and positive working and learning environment. The training is required upon hire and every two years thereafter.
