About the Restorative Practices Student Leadership Program (RJSLP):

The RPSLP was developed to empower students to take an active role in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture through the application of restorative justice principles. This program provides students with the training and resources needed to become ambassadors for restorative practices within their academic community and the health care environments where they will practice.

Student leaders learn to facilitate restorative circles and mediate conflicts to create a safe and supportive environment for their peers. The RJSLP emphasizes shared responsibility and accountability among students, addresses interpersonal conflicts, and promotes constructive communication. By engaging students as leaders in the restorative practice process, the program instills a sense of agency and community-building among the student body.
