Physician Assistant Leadership and Learning Academy

The Physician Assistant Leadership and Learning Academy (PALLA) is seeking applicants for its faculty fellowship program, designed for practicing physician assistants/associates (PAs) interested in pursuing academic careers in higher education. Applications are due April 4.

About the Fellowship:
 Now entering its sixth year, the PALLA Fellowship offers a 10-month, structured professional development program that equips PAs with the essential skills needed to excel in teaching, scholarship, and service as PA faculty members. Through a combination of active-learning experiences and case-based design, fellows engage in a rigorous curriculum that fosters growth in academic leadership.

Program Highlights:
 Fellows will engage in virtual seminars and workshops; individual and group mentorship led by an interprofessional team of educators and scholars; and exploration of key topics including:

  • Adult Learning Theories
  • Curricular Design and Development
  • Inclusive Pedagogy
  • Instructional Strategies and Educational Assessments
  • Best Practices in Simulation
  • PA Program Accreditation
  • The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
  • Academic Leadership Within PA Education
