The University of Maryland, Baltimore Faculty Senate invites nominations for the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Faculty Awards, the highest honor given by the Board of Regents for exemplary faculty achievement. Awards are given in:
- Teaching
- Scholarship/Research
- Creative Activity
- Public Service
- Mentoring
Eligibility
- Current USM faculty with at least 5 years of service
- Contribution must have occurred at a USM institution
- Performance period: July 1, 2022–June 30, 2025 (except Mentoring, which may exceed three years)
- Prior awardees within 3 years are ineligible for the same category
Initial Nomination Packet (max 5 pages)
After review and approval of 5-page packet, applicants will be asked to complete a 20-page packet (details to be available on Interfolio).
- 1-page résumé
- 1-page essay describing contributions
- 1–2 page recommendation letter (from chair/dean)
- 1–2 pages of supporting documentation
Packets must be submitted via Interfolio. The Institutional Faculty Nomination Committee (IFNC) will review packets after submission. To begin the submission process or for questions, contact:
