Join the Dean's Alumni Circle
Graduates who attend an UMSON Convocation ceremony automatically become members of the Dean’s Alumni Circle and receive a red-and-gold cord. Then, show your UMSON alumni pride and wear your cord at the upcoming All-Alumni Reunion on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025.
University of Maryland, Baltimore Graduate School PhD Hooding Ceremony

Tickets are required to attend the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony. Students and mentors do not need tickets to attend.

Graduation Package Pickup: May 12 and 13
Packages include (as applicable):
- your name card for the ceremony
- event tickets
- alumni gift
- honor cords (if applicable).
Packets are only available prior to the event and will not be available at the ceremony. Packets are mailed only to out-of-state students. Packets not picked up will be mailed to the address on record after the ceremony.
Number of guest tickets available is based on the number of graduates attending.
Sigma or any other cords must be ordered through the appropriate organization and are not provided by UMSON.
