Are you a faculty member currently investigating the impact of your instructional practices? If so, LEAPS would like to invite you to join our presidential initiative shaping educational scholarship on our campus.
We are looking for interested faculty members from each UMB school to join the next LEAPS Steering Committee.
This 14-member committee plays a vital role in shaping and advancing LEAPS educational scholarship initiatives. To foster collaboration and streamline efforts, members will meet twice per semester and work between meetings to support key activities, including:
- Recommending topics and speakers for events that support educational scholars
- Recognizing outstanding educational scholarship and publications through the LEAPS awards process
- Reviewing applications for LEAPS seed grants
- Brainstorming strategies to better support faculty in educational scholarship
We estimate the time commitment to be no more than eight hours per semester. Committee members will serve one to three years (with potential for reappointment), starting in January 2026.
