Join the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for an engaging and transformative experience where we come together to build community, grow together, and foster meaningful conversations. Guided by themes from Mary-Frances Winter’s book Inclusive Conversations, we will explore the connections that unite us — because while our differences make us unique, they also reveal how much we share.

Through interactive activities and storytelling, we will celebrate the rich cultural heritage that shapes our community and deepens our sense of belonging. To celebrate our diverse backgrounds, we invite you to bring an item that represents your culture. This can be a cherished keepsake, a traditional snack, a piece of fabric, a symbolic statue, or anything else that holds cultural significance to you.

Together, we’ll learn from one another, strengthen our connections, and continue growing as a more inclusive and supportive community. Come ready to listen, share, and discover just how much we have in common. This event is for UMSON faculty and staff only.

Continuing Education credit will be available for practicing nurses. The University of Maryland School of Nursing is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
