Full-time School of Nursing faculty who received or renewed their National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Educator credential (CNE) during the prior or current fiscal year are eligible for an award of up to $5,000 from the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). Over the past six award cycles, 34 UMSON faculty have received a total of $170,000 under this program.
Nominations must be signed and submitted by the dean. To meet MHEC's deadline, completed nominations packages much be received by Deborah Prout, special assistant to the dean, by Friday, March 7. Applicants are required to submit a number of documents.
