The University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMSSW) is proud to support PIVOT Baltimore by hosting the PIVOT Donation Drive, an opportunity to help empower women impacted by the justice system.

Why PIVOT?

PIVOT is a Baltimore-based reentry program dedicated to helping women rebuild their lives after incarceration. Through a nine-week workforce development and case management program, PIVOT provides essential support, addressing mental health, substance use recovery, and job readiness. Its impact is clear:

  • 75 percent of participants complete the program
  • 71 percent secure employment
  • Only 12 percent are rearrested within a year, with just 2 percent reincarcerated
