The Travel Team is launching a survey about your UMB travel experiences to identify areas for improvement. We want to hear from you!

The 12-question survey covers the travel process; Concur, the travel management company; support; and travel policy. We also welcome you to share a travel instance that highlights what we can improve — with specifics so we can research exactly which step needs to be addressed.

Please take five minutes today to help us make the travel experience better for everyone! The survey will be available through Sept. 30, 2025.

What is the purpose of the survey? The survey is designed to help the Travel team to a) understand sentiment about which aspects of the travel experience need particular improvement; and b) learn from specific travel instances that demonstrate what needs improvement.

Who is invited to provide feedback? An email will be sent to all individuals who have used Concur in the past two years, including faculty, staff, and non-employee travelers. Individuals can also link from this announcement in The Elm.

When is the survey active? Sept. 15-30, 2025.

Is the survey confidential? The survey is anonymous. However, respondents are encouraged to include salient details of a specific travel instance and their name to help the Travel Team to research the issues.

How will the findings be disseminated? Detailed findings will be shared with the Travel Advisory Council, Change Management Network-Concur, and administrative deans for discussion about the best actions to take to address identified issues. High-level findings will be reported to employees via The Elm, along with planned actions to address key issues.
Students, faculty, and staff, let your voice be heard!
