UMB Council for the Arts & Culture Presents ‘The Art of Sound Healing’
July 30, 2025The UMB Council for the Arts & Culture's "Art of Sound Healing" sessions are designed to give the UMB community a chance to pause, reset, and reconnect — using sound as a powerful tool for nervous system regulation, creativity, and inner leadership. Each session blends live sound healing with breathwork and reflective practices to support well-being and mental clarity.
It’s a great fit for faculty, staff, and students navigating busy schedules or high-demand roles. The series aligns with the mission of the UMB Council for the Arts & Culture to promote creative expression, wellness, and community connection.
Why Sound Healing?
Sound healing is a gentle, inclusive experience that helps give participants:
- Deep mental and physical rest
- Nervous system balance and stress relief
- Improved focus, emotional clarity, and resilience
- A renewed connection to creativity, purpose, and inner calm
Some participants describe seeing colors or images, others feel subtle energetic shifts or simply deep relaxation. Unlike traditional guided meditation, these sessions are non-directive — offering a space to do nothing while still receiving deep restoration through vibration and sound.
