University of Maryland, Baltimore Professional Administratives Committed to Excellence (UMBPACE) is an affinity group within UMBrella that supports UMB administrative/support staff across the University. UMBPACE created its mentoring program to help UMB support staff navigate UMB’s policies and procedures and provide coaching. It is a resource for professional development and a great tool to help achieve one’s personal and professional goals. The mentoring goal is to provide mentees with training, resources, and the opportunity to establish relevant relationships that will improve their administrative journey with coaching and guidance.

The mentee and mentor must sign a confidentiality clause, and the only requirement is that the applicant must be a newly hired administrative/support staff with less than five years of administrative experience and less than two years of service at UMB. The program is for six months with an opening ceremony March 18, 2025. Mentees and mentors will meet as a group every month, and the mentee and mentor will meet individually as often as agreed upon.

UMBPACE will contact you with more information when your registration is received. We look forward to mentoring you.
