UMSSW Institute Partners with Hope Health Systems for CBT+ Training in Baltimore Schools.
February 05, 2025

The Institute for Innovation and Implementation, University of Maryland SSW is proud to have begun partnering with Hope Health Systems to train Baltimore City school-based clinicians in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy+ treatment model through funding from the Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports. CBT+ combines four specific evidence-based treatments within one treatment approach: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, CBT for depression, Trauma-Focused (TF) CBT for trauma impact, and parent management training (PMT). These intervention targets are relevant for approximately three-fourths of children in public mental health.
