The University of Maryland, Baltimore's (UMB) interdisciplinary approach to psychedelic therapies education was recently highlighted on WYPR's "On the Record" program. The School of Social Work's Megan Meyer, PhD, MSW, along with Johns Hopkins' Allison Kelliher, MD, represented the collaborative effort between the schools of social work, pharmacy, and nursing and shared insights into the innovative psychedelic therapies series during an interview with Melissa Gerr and Sheilah Kast.

This groundbreaking initiative aims to educate both professionals and the public about the emerging field of psychedelic therapies. The interview, which aired Jan. 15, showcased the University's commitment to advancing knowledge in this rapidly evolving area of mental health treatment.

As psychedelic therapies gain traction in medical and therapeutic settings, UMB is positioning itself at the forefront of education and research in this promising field.
