Join recent PhD alum Dr. Shawna Murray-Browne for a free event at the Enoch Pratt Free Library on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The gathering marks the launch of her new podcast, Return to Presence, which grew directly out of her dissertation research.
Together, we’ll watch an episode and engage in dialogue about what the featured oral history can offer us today, particularly around leadership, healing for Black women, and community care. She will also be inviting community insight as she continue developing an oral history archive centered on Black women elders and their work to heal themselves and their communities.
