There’s a saying in higher education that “culture beats strategy every time.” This session will explore the truth in that statement while still underscoring the value of strategy development.
The balance between culture and strategy is particularly important when thinking about how to align institutional practices with core values. To achieve this balance is to go from paying lip service to the idea of “living by our values,” to the everyday policies, practices, accountability, and leadership that makes the ideal a reality.
