Join the Green and Healthy Homes Initiative, the Maryland Department of Health, and the Greater Baltimore Asthma Alliance for the 2019 Maryland Asthma Summit: Maximizing Asthma Control through Education and Advocacy.

The keynote speaker, Lois Wessel, RN, CFNP, is a family nurse practitioner with the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment (MACCHE), Region 3 Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, a practicing clinician at Community Clinic, Inc., and an instructor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Georgetown University. She will address "Asthma in Maryland — Disparities, Challenges, and Moving Forward."

Other topics will include the impact of climate change on asthma, advocacy for asthma, adverse childhood events (ACEs), trauma, and asthma, and the indoor environment and asthma.
