The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare is pleased to announce two grant opportunities to stimulate and advance evidence-based practice (EBP) or implementation science in nursing and health care across the United States. More information about the two categories, evidence-based quality improvement and research, is found below.
 
Awardees will receive free conference registration and be asked to present at the 2021 EBP National Summit hosted by the Fuld Institute for EBP.

Category 1: EVIDENCE-BASED QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROPOSALS

  • Proposals focused on the application of evidence to improve healthcare quality and safety using the evidence-based practice process
  • Requires a DNP-prepared nurse to lead the initiative
  • Must include at least one team member from another health care discipline
  • Up to four proposals will be selected for funding of up to $2,500

Category 2: RESEARCH PROPOSALS

  • Proposals that stimulate science related to EBP and implementation of evidence into practice
  • Requires a PhD-prepared nurse to lead the project
  • Must include at least one team member from another health care discipline
  • One proposal will be selected for up to $10,000

Submission Instructions:

  • Complete the online application form to determine eligibility
  • If eligible, you will receive detailed instructions on proposal requirements
  • Submit your complete proposal including all required sections by 11:59 p.m. EST on Feb. 15, 2020

Important Dates:

  • Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020: Application Deadline. Applications due by 11:59 p.m. EST
  • Wednesday, April 1, 2020: Notification of grant awardees
  • Wednesday, April 1, 2020: Funding begins
