The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) is offering a new Educational Scholars (EDS) program for instructors who want to learn how to create impactful learning experiences, no matter the context — online, hybrid, or face-to-face. Scholars will engage in structured, co-facilitated learning of evidence-based teaching and learning strategies, discussion, and reflection on topics important to their roles as university instructors.

The flexible, online program allows participants to engage from any location and relies on peer supported learning. The scholars meet virtually eight times (one hour each session) over the course of the academic year.

Membership in the program is by application of interest. Primary qualifications are a desire to improve knowledge and skills in teaching and learning, desire for scholarship in education, and availability to complete required elements of the program. Annually, the EDS program will accept eight to 10 participants who, if all elements are complete, will receive a completion certificate and a faculty spotlight on the FCTL website.

If you are interested in participating, please complete an application at the link below. Applications are due by Aug. 15.
