March 13: Food for Thought — A Space to Unpack Complex Questions and Build Cultural Competence
March 06, 2019

Wednesday, March 13, noon to 1 p.m.
SMC Campus Center, Room 115
If you are looking for a space to unpack questions regarding race, ethnicity, culture, norms, and current events, Food For Thought is for you!
These monthly sessions are a space for members from the UMB community to ask questions (with respect) on various racial, cultural, and/or societal topics in hopes of gaining insight and broadening cultural competence. With the help of participants, facilitators introduce agreed-upon guiding principles for productive and respectful conversation. Participants get to guide the conversation by posing questions or experiences regarding race, ethnicity, culture, norms, and current events.
