Whether the learning is virtual or in-person, school supplies are still needed!
UMB's Staff Senate and Office of Community Engagement (OCE) are hosting their annual school supply drive to benefit local students attending James McHenry Elementary/Middle School as well as UMB CURE Scholars and Police Athletic/Activities League program families.
OCE and the Staff Senate's Community Outreach Committee are working closely with partner organizations to assess needs and purchase and deliver supplies to local students even as they begin with a virtual school year.
In light of the mandatory telework policy impacting the vast majority of UMB faculty and staff, the drive has gone completely virtual! Please consider donating to the Staff Senate Community Outreach Fund to support this effort to purchase needed school supplies such as notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, folders, crayons, and more! Donations in any amount are welcome, and the goal this year is to support 600 students.
