AHEC Scholars logo

AHEC Scholars is a national interprofessional and innovative program geared toward health profession students. The program exposes you to interdisciplinary didactic and community-based clinical/experiential training in rural and/or underserved areas in Maryland. This program is completed during the two years prior to degree completion.

Applicants must be enrolled in a health professions degree program (List of Disciplines) and two years from degree or program completion. 

AHEC Scholars must complete 40 hours of community-based clinical or experiential training in rural and/or underserved areas and 40 hours of didactic education each year of the program.
