Recent graduates are invited to join UW Health, the #1 hospital in Wisconsin. The Post-Baccalaureate Nurse Residency Program is a paid 12-month program, designed to help New Graduate Registered Nurses move confidently into practice following graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Ambulatory Nurse Residency Program at UW Health

The Ambulatory Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is a prestigious year-long program to support the transition of new graduate nurses into professional practice at UW Health Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. Ambulatory RNs work within an interdisciplinary team during all stages of patient care: wellness, prevention, acute/chronic illness to end-of-life.

The Summer 2021 cohort will begin on August 16th and May 2021 graduates are encouraged to apply. Residents will experience an orientation designed specifically for new to practice nurses which includes mentoring by preceptors and clinical nurse specialists. Residents will meet with clinical experts and learn to problem-solve clinical challenges.

Nurse Corps Scholarship Opportunity

The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA), Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) has opened the scholarship application cycles for health professionals and students.

Eligible nursing students can apply to the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program and receive financial support in exchange for committing to serve in high-need areas across the country upon graduation.

U.S. Public Health Service, paid externship
Application window: June 1 - Sept. 30 

The U.S. Public Health Services (USPHS), America's healthcare first responders, is looking to recruit bright and driven health professionals. Nursing students are invited to participate in a paid externship called the Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training Externship Program (SRCOSTEP) while they attend school. Students in their final year of school receive a full salary while attending classes and are guaranteed a healthcare position in a federal agency upon graduation. Students graduating in 2023 are eligible for the SRCOSTEP. Birch Trail Summer Camp, nursing students and recent graduates

Birch Trail Camp for Girls, a summer camp in Northern Wisconsin, is seeking nursing students and graduates for a summer job opportunity. The camp runs from June 7 - Aug. 13 and is hiring both RNs and nurse aides.

The Assistant Director of Health Services promotes health and safety in the school environment and provides health services to students in all Divisions. They develop and administer a coordinated school health program, promoting and protecting the optimal health status of school-aged children. Candidates must hold a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland as well as a bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Ideally, they have experience working with children in schools or in community or children’s health.
