Given the unfolding situation with COVID-19 in Maryland and beyond, UMSON’s academic leadership has decided to cancel the delivery of in-person, face-to-face classes on Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13, and use an alternative delivery format for classroom instruction. Course faculty will be communicating via Blackboard the alternative delivery format for the in-person, face-to-face classes.

Continuing after spring break, as of Monday, March 23, no classroom-based classes will meet in person until further notice.

Labs and simulation activities will be provided in an alternative format March 23 (following spring break)-April 5.

Clinical and practicums continue as scheduled unless you receive notification from UMSON.

UMSON student organizations will hold essential meetings remotely. Essential meetings are those that must take place to reach a decision either to advance a student organization’s mission or to discuss a critical issue impacting the organization. All other student group gatherings (study sessions, etc.) are considered non-essential and should be canceled. Questions should be directed to the Student Success Center, nrsstudentsuccesscenter@umaryland.edu or 410-706-5426.

All UMSON community members are expected to review the UMSON and UMB COVID-19 webpages twice daily for updates, which are occurring regularly.
