- On the UMSON Student COVID-19 Vaccination, Testing, and SAFE Screening Requirements page, the following information has been updated:
Vaccination Mandate
Hospitals and other clinical sites may have their own COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Students engaged in clinical site activities should note that external sites may have stricter vaccine rules than UMB. Being unvaccinated may impact the ability of a student to participate in activities at those external sites and complete the clinical portion of your education requirements, which will impact your ability to graduate.
SAFE on Campus Screening RequirementsIf UMB has confirmation that you are fully vaccinated (i.e., 14 days have passed since your final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine), you are required to complete the SAFE on Campus screening survey only on the days when attending a clinical practicum off-site.
Otherwise, students who are NOT fully vaccinated must complete the survey every day they are coming to campus or going to an off-site clinical practicum.
All students will receive the daily email to complete the survey at 4 a.m., with a reminder at 9 a.m. if it is not completed.
- Your contact information and your primary supervisor will be pre-populated in the survey.
- You will not be able to pause the daily survey.
Students coming to campus solely for medical appointments do not need to use SAFE on Campus survey.
All UMSON community members are expected to check their umaryland.edu email and review the UMSON COVID-19 Response and UMB Recovery webpages daily for updates, which are occurring regularly.
