2020 Digital Innovation Bootcamp: From Concept to Action, April 27-30 | Austin, TX, AACN logo

Deadline: Jan. 8, 2020

AACN is pleased to announce the continued collaboration with Apple for a third Digital Innovation Bootcamp: From Concept to Action, a unique opportunity to apply learning theories and education models to developing inspiring digital content for students.

From April 27-30, 2020, 30 nursing faculty will gather at Apple's Austin campus for a bootcamp-style program to develop a digital teaching project to engage students in learning experiences in the classroom, online, and in clinical settings.

Apply to participate in this 3-day intensive program with other nurse educators from across the country. You will learn from Apple Development Executives and Apple Distinguished Educators about what leading technologies are available to help transform the higher learning experience.

Participation is limited to 30 individuals selected from AACN member institutions (limited to one person per school). Only faculty from schools who have not had faculty attend a previous bootcamp will be considered. Participants are responsible for the cost of travel, meals, and lodging.

Participants must come prepared to adapt material into digital content that will transform how they teach students. Participants should not expect to complete their digital project at the bootcamp, but they will develop the skills needed to complete a project.

Faculty will be given the opportunity to present at one of AACN's upcoming conferences. AACN will waive the presenter fee for those selected to present at one of the following conferences, which include:

  • Transform 2020 (for faculty in Baccalaureate and Master's program)
    Dec. 3-5, 2020 | Chicago, IL
  • 2021 Doctoral Education Conference
    Jan. 21-23, 2021 | Coronado, CA

Successful applicants will leave Austin with hands-on experience using new, innovative, and engaging digital content tools, and a personal learning network for peer support.
