At the most recent meeting of the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) deans, there was a discussion about the challenges that confront researchers who are focused on nursing education such as:

  • one site studies
  • small sample sizes
  • conflicts that may arise when research is conducted exclusively within the researcher's own school

Consequently, Linda Flynn, PhD, RN, FAAN, dean and professor, Rutgers School of Nursing, is issuing an invitation for interested faculty to attend an exploratory virtual meeting to discuss the possibility of forming a BTAA nursing education research collaborative interest group (including simulation-focused studies).

Working together, our nursing education researchers might collaborate, for example, in multi-site study design, data collection, and the identification of common data elements available across schools.
