Feb. 25: Careers in Science Communication: Medical Writer
February 15, 2021

Join Jason Wermers, a Master of Health Science student in the Graduate School and a medical writer/editor at MedStar Health Research Institute in Washington, D.C., for this workshop at noon Feb. 25. He will discuss how he transitioned from a long career as a print journalist with no previous background in health sciences to becoming a medical writer. His main tasks are editing manuscripts written by fellows and attending physicians for submission to peer-reviewed journals and serving as a managing editor of a peer-reviewed journal. This session will review career decision-making and inspire you to see that it is never too late to adjust to changing circumstances. In the process, you just might discover a new passion.
